Festival Tree Sponsorship
Each year, the Pekin Winter Wonderland Festival is host to 400 illuminated trees scattered throughout Mineral Springs Park as well as the Court House Square downtown. Individuals may sponsor an illuminated tree for the duration of the festival which runs from the Sunday after Thanksgiving through New Years Day. Sponsors are able to decorate their trees with suitable outdoor decorations and may also select a message to display with their tree each year.
While many sponsors choose to renew their trees year after year, a limited number of trees become available for new sponsors each year. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for an available tree, please fill out the form below.
NOTE: Submission of the form only guarantees that your name is placed on the waiting list. It does not immediately guarantee that a tree is available.
Winter Wonderland Tree Rules & Regulations
Please remember these trees are out in the elements and are subject to weather and wildlife. To maintain an environmentally safe display, a consistent lighting theme, and keep utility costs to a minimum so the committee may continue to offer this cherished tradition at an affordable price, please abide by the following guidelines:
- No additional lights or motorized ornaments are permitted
- No use of tinsel (icicles), garland & ribbons, glass or breakable ornaments.
- No edible decorations
If the above items are found on a tree, they will be removed and disposed of. NO REIMBURSEMENTS WILL BE GIVEN.
DO NOT decorate a tree without your sign or confirmation of tree location from the tree committee.

PLEASE REMEMBER THESE TREES ARE A PRODUCT OF NATURE, AND NOT ALL TREES WILL BE PERFECT. PLEASE RESPECT THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM BY NOT REQUESTING SIGNS BE MOVED TO ANOTHER LOCATION. EVEN THE LESS ATTRACTIVE TREES NEED LOVE.
If you choose to put decorations on your tree, please check on your tree. Ornaments can and will fall off, and we will not be responsible for putting them back on or checking for damages.
ALL DECORATIONS MUST BE REMOVED NO LATER THAN JANUARY 3rd 2026.
Any decorations left on the trees after the above date will be disposed of and you will be removed from the winter wonderland tree sponsor program for the next year.
If you requested a tree location, your request will be granted if space is available and you returned a completed form by the due date. REMEMBER, ONCE YOUR SIGN IS PLACED AT A TREE LOCATION, IT WILL NOT BE MOVED.
If your check is returned, you will be responsible for the cost of the tree and any fees incurred by Pekin Winter Wonderland.
BREAKING ONE OF THE ABOVE RULES COULD RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE TREE SPONSOR PROGRAM BY THE WINTER WONDERLAND COMMITTEE.
NOTE: The Winter Wonderland Committee asks that you respect all park employees as they try to put these trees out for us, decorate them with lights and display your signs. They are doing this in addition to all their normal duties. We as a committee cannot allow park employees to be disrespected and any such disrespect will result in removal from the tree sponsorship program.
